Byju’s has halted all ads starring Shah Rukh Khan after Aryan Khan’s arrest

The arrest of Aryan Khan in the alleged drug case has shocked not only Shah Rukh Khan and his family, but the whole entertainment industry. According to reports, the star kid was arrested last weekend during an NCB raid on a cruise ship in Mumbai.

Aryan has been in judicial custody since then, with his bail application being denied and him being taken to Mumbai’s Arthur Jail. And, as the Khans do everything they can to get Aryan out of jail, SRK is about to suffer another blow.

Shah Rukh Khan Suffering Another Trouble

According to reports in the media, Byju’s has canceled the advertising featuring SRK for the time being, putting their partnership with the superstar on hold. To be clear, King Khan has been the face of the Byju’s as well as a number of other brands. According to a report in the Economic Times, Byju’s was SRK’s greatest sponsorship agreement, with him earning roughly Rs 3-4 crores every year. “They (Byju’s) have halted all SRK-related promotions for now,” a source said of the advertising being halted. It had to be canceled because the company, which is in the education field, didn’t want to be associated with him in advertising because of the controversy (over his son’s drug case)”.

“These ads were scheduled in advance—as is the process—so it took some time to stop all of them,” the insider continued. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan, who has been linked with Byju’s since 2017, has yet to determine if he will continue to be its brand ambassador.

No Bail For Aryan and all the Suspects

Satish Maneshinde, Aryan Khan’s lawyer, cited various court decisions in order to prove his case and secure bail for SRK’s son. He also gave a statement on behalf of Aryan “My parents and siblings are here, and I come from a decent family. I am an Indian citizen. I can’t flee since I’m a member of society. There is no evidence of tampering or allegation of tampering. The electronic evidence has been taken, and the other suspects have been arrested.” “I am a 23-year-old with no prior antecedents,” she added.

UPDATE | Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Munmun Dhamecha’s bail request in the case involving the seizure of drugs following a raid at a party on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast has been denied by the Esplanade court in Mumbai.
