Billie Lourd has become a mom!! The actress took to her social media on Thursday to introduce her newborn baby to the world. She has given birth to a baby boy.
The couple named their son honoring both the little one’s mom as well as his late grandmother, Carrie Fisher. The Scream Queens actress wrote. “????????????Introducing: ????????????Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell????????????.” She posted a picture of the newborn’s feet alongside the caption. In what seemed like another nod to Fisher, Kingston was wearing a starry onesie which referred to Star Wars. The baby boy was also wrapped in a blue and white fuzzy blanket.
Fans were shocked and happy at the news as Billie was trending in the US. “Wow had no clue you were expecting!! Congrats!!,” one follower wrote. Another added, “He’s amazing. Congratulations????????.”
The actress had kept her pregnancy under wraps. Three months ago, Billie’s boyfriend, Austen Rydell, had made the announcement of their engagement. The couple had rekindled their relationship back in 2017, after being linked two years before that.
Taking to Instagram, Austen expressed his happiness and wrote that saying yes to his proposal was a no-brainer for Billie. “????????????She said YES!! (Actually, she said ‘Duhhh’) But I guess that’s even better than yes?!?,” he captioned a series of photos that encapsulated their romance.
Back in July, Austen wished his fiance and took to his social media saying her birthday feels like his birthday. He wished his fiance a happy birthday and said he loves her. This past February, Rydell wrote a sweet Valentine’s Day tribute to his love on Instagram, alongside a photo of the two sharing a kiss in front of the sunset.

He wrote that he found the best girl in the world. Austen wished a happy Valentine’s day to themselves and revealed that they will be hanging out with the redwoods today.
Billie posted a slideshow of their loving pictures herself and took to her social media. She wrote, “All ’round the world you make my world go ’round.” Back in December 2019, Billie and Austen went on a trip to Norway, in honor of her mother’s one-year death anniversary.
Carrie played the role of Princess/General Leia Organa in the Star Wars franchise. She passed away at the age of 60 in 2016. Billie has previously opened up about her mother and her childhood.
The actress said that she grew up with mom, dad, and also with Princess Leia. She said Princess Leia was like her stepmom and deep down she did not like her. Billie said when Leia was around there wasn’t much room for her mom-for Carrie.
Billie appears in the newer trilogy films of Star Wars and played the role of Lieutenant Kaydel Ko Connix. She tied her hair up in two buns, as a nod to Princess Leia’s signature hairstyle. The actress played a young Leia in the recent movie, The Rise of Skywalker. That is when she finally went ahead and watched the hit Star Wars franchise.
She realized how cool Leia was and opened up about the character, who was played by her mother, Carrie. The actress said Princess Leia is more than just a character and said she is a feeling. She described Leia as strength, grace, and wit. Billie said the character is feminity at its best.
She wrote, “And no one could have played her like my mother. Princess Leia is Carrie Fisher. Carrie Fisher is Princess Leia. The two go hand in hand.”
