Bigg Boss 15: Voot Select Confirms Digital Premiere Six Weeks Before TV Release

The rise in the viewership of digital platforms has forced makers to rethink their strategies. One of the most popular reality TV shows, Bigg Boss has also jumped on board with going online. The upcoming season of Bigg Boss 15 will be premiering on Voot Select.

Bigg Boss had been telecast on TV every year with a grand premiere. Contestants have been staying inside the Bigg Boss house for a longer period of time for two years. Fans might remember how the show got extended in Bigg Boss season 13. The makers, however, have chosen to take advantage of their TV and online reach and make it successful.

According to a source, Viacom 18 has internally adopted the digital-first approach. The source revealed, The company has internally adopted the digital-first approach, so, Bigg Boss will be launched online. The television premiere will take place six weeks after the original airing.”

The company feels this approach will bring in more benefits for the show. In addition, the source revealed that the platform will be able to increase its user base drastically. Further, they said that the show will be far more interactive and the audience factor will give the common man the power to choose contestants. The audience will also have the power of contributing to the tasks and exits of the show.

Bigg Boss Introduces The ‘Junta Factor’

It has been made clear that this will be far more interactive for the audience as they can choose whom they want to see inside the house. The head of Voot Select, Ferzad Palia, also confirmed the news as he shared how Bigg Boss has grown to become India’s biggest entertainment property. He added, “The launch of Bigg Boss OTT on our platform is another step towards solidifying our ‘Digital First’ approach. We are confident that our subscribers will enjoy our 24-hour live feeds, interactivity and gaming.”

Salman Khan will be returning as the host for this season as well. As per reports, the show is planning to have some big names entering the house. Bigg Boss has been loved by audiences and has been a huge success. However, the last season with the common man contestants did not do well.

The first six weeks of the show is set to premiere on Voot and give audiences an insight into the entertainment. Viewers are also set to have a 24-hour live feed like last season.
