Arnold Rejects Oscars in 2021 as ‘Boring,’ but offers a Suggestion for ‘Next Time’

In a new interview on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, Arnold Schwarzenegger described Hollywood’s biggest event, the Oscars, as “boring.” It also drew a lot of publicity from fans and critics alike after switching up the format, location, and other things on Sunday.

Arnold’s views on Oscar

The 73-year-old actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night, according to Fox News, and admitted to only watching about 33% of the service “because it was so boring.”

“I just turned it off because there was so much talent on stage that it was so boring – how could you make this, with all this talent, so boring?” the actor continued. “I think they should take it to Muscle Beach next time and have the Oscars there,” he joked.

Schwarzenegger never received an Academy Award nomination, but he did win a Golden Globe in 1977 and was nominated again in 1995. He was also nominated for an Emmy in 2014 for executive producing the documentary Tied with American Masters.
