According to the director, Spider-Man: No Way Home and Avengers: Endgame are similar
The upcoming picture is called “Spider-Man: Endgame” by Jon Watts, the director of Spider-Man: No Way Home. No Way Home is the fourth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4 and the 27th overall.
Returning actors Tom Holland as Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, and Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan will star in the picture, which will hit theatres on December 17, 2021. Benedict Wong as Wong and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange will also appear in the film.
No Way Home and Endgame are similar
Peter Parker is dealing with the consequences of his secret identity being revealed publicly in the film. When he approaches Doctor Strange to cast a forget-me-not spell, he panics at the last minute, and the unsuccessful spell causes the multiverse to fold in on itself, spilling villains from earlier Spider-Man continuities into the MCU. Although it has not been confirmed that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will reprise their web-slinger roles from previous Spider-Man films, the film has hinted at the return of the Green Goblin, and Jamie Foxx as Electro and Alfred Molina as Doc Ock have been formally confirmed.
No Way Home director Jon Watts teased that the Spider-Man trilogy’s conclusion will be an epic achievement in an interview with Empire. He admits that with this entry, they’re being “very ambitious.” He also jokingly called it “Spider-Man: Endgame” to excite fans.
Betty Brant (Angourie Rice), Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori), Mr. Harrington (Martin Starr), Mr. Dell (J. B. Smoove), and Coach Wilson will all return in Spider-Man: No Way Home (Hannibal Buress). While they’ll be filling the world around Peter Parker’s high school, there are whispers that even more Marvel heroes will be joining the fray. The end-credits stinger from Venom: Let There Be Carnage has fueled suspicions that Tom Hardy’s Venom may make an appearance in some manner, rumors that were fueled by Hardy uploading crossover fan art on social media and then removing the post.
