WATCH – Vicky Kaushal’s Sardar Udham teaser is out

Fans have been unable to remain calm since Shoojit Sircar announced his upcoming project with Vicky Kaushal. Shoojit revealed his next project, a biography of revolutionary independence hero Sardar Udham Singh, in March 2019. It’s been called “one of his most ambitious efforts yet.” Vicky had previously stated that the film’s teaser would be released today, September 27th, and was correct.

Official Teaser Is out

We don’t see Vicky Kaushal in the teaser, nor do we see any other actors. We can only observe someone attempting to copy Sardar Udham’s passport. Everything, from the background music to the scenes, will have you wanting more. Sardar Udham Singh was shot over the course of a year and a half, and it was completed in December 2019.

Shoojit took about a year and a half to complete the post-production and was waiting for the right moment to release the film in theatres. Unfortunately, with so much uncertainty surrounding the covid cases, Sardar Udham Singh’s team has made the difficult decision to release the biopic exclusively on digital platforms. The film will get a direct release on Amazon.

The film was produced in Russia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, and North India. Vicky plays Sardar Udham Singh, who assassinates Michael O’Dwyer in retaliation for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919. 

New Poster Out

Vicky uploaded the new poster on his Instagram account, which showed a foggy London sky. Vicky, who shared the poster, wrote: “As we present you the narrative of a revolutionary, my heart is full with love. Watch @primevideoin’s #SardarUdhamOnPrime this October.”

Sardar Udham Singh, who shot General Dyer in London to revenge the deaths of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919, stars in the film. Vicky will appear in the film as a revolutionary.
