Miley Cyrus, 28, stunned the crowd at Milwaukee’s Summerfest on September 17, performing some of her best hits from her 15-year career. The former Disney Channel actress performed versions of Blondie’s “Heart of Glass,” Janis Joplin’s “Maybe,” and Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Midnight” as well as songs from her 2020 album Plastic Hearts.

Miley also twerked in a black little skirt with a pink halter-style crop top and thigh-high black studded boots. She captioned a series of photos of herself dancing, “FOOL MOON.”

It comes just a few weeks after the Hannah Montana alum spoke out about “rebuilding” her life at another festival. Her Malibu home was destroyed by dangerous flames in 2018, as fans are aware. On September 4, she spoke about her experience at the 2021 BottleRock Napa Valley Festival.

According to The San Francisco Chronicle, she told the crowd, “This song, to me, speaks to the changes that I’ve been through in my life, and the things that I’ve lost have come back in what I never knew I wanted or needed to gain.”

“Even if it feels like we have to start from scratch, as with the house fire, and rebuild from the ground up.That fire happened about three years ago, and I’m only now starting to feel like I’m recovering my footing.”

“I used to believe that if I didn’t have a partner, I’d die. If I didn’t have someone to kiss me every night, I’d be sad.

But then this was my purpose, which was taken away from me during COVID, so I found a new purpose in music, which has been the glue for the last two years and has kept us together,” she explained. “It’s such a blessing to be able to call myself a musician, and I never want that to be taken away from me because it’s what keeps me going.”
