Vince Vaughn revealed that he and Owen Wilson are in talks to star in a Wedding Crashers sequel. The actor opened up about the sequel in an interview he gave on Wednesday.
He said both him and Owen might reprise their characters from their 2005 film. “Owen and I and the director of Crashers have been talking for the first time seriously [about] a sequel to that movie,” Vince said. “So there has been an idea that is pretty good. So we are talking about that in the early stages.”
Both Vince and Owen had played the role of divorce mediators who used to crash wedding receptions to meet women. The movie also featured Rachel McAdams, Isla Fisher, and Bradley Cooper.
Vince recalled how fun it was to make as he also looked back at the film as well as Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Zoolander. He said, “It’s always fun to make people laugh and go to work with people that are funny.” The actor is currently starring opposite Kathryn Newton in their upcoming thriller, Freaky.
The movie is about a 17-year-old Millie who is an ordinary and boring high school girl who switches bodies with her town’s serial killer, The Blissfield Butcher. The serial killer is played by Vince as Millie is portrayed by Kathryn.
Vince revealed how fun it was to have Kathryn build each character out with. He also said she came with good ideas and had a rehearsal period where both of them find the physicality of each character.
He said, “She came with such good ideas, we had a rehearsal period where we were kind of finding the physicality of each character so there’d be cohesiveness.”
The actor said, “We just had a lot of fun kind of playing make-believe together,” he continued. “There’s a lot of physical stuff and fighting, but it was also so ridiculous”. He further explained that they would be very committed to a scene; sometimes would start to improvise and play around with the thought because of which it felt like a roller coaster.
Freaky will be releasing in theaters on November 13.
