Tom Holland reveals a scene from No Way Home, uses method acting, and jokes

Tom Holland shared a sneak peek from Spider-Man: No Way Home on Instagram today. Doctor Octopus can be seen capturing Tom Holland in the image.  “Absolutely no CGI in this picture. Method acting at its finest,” he captioned the post.

Dr. Otto Octavius, sometimes known as Doc Ock, is one of Spider-oldest Man’s most ferocious opponents. He and the Web-Slinger have clashed countless times in comic adaptations during the course of their decades-long rivalry.

Surprisingly, the doctor returns in Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Alfred Molina repeating his iconic role. Meanwhile, Molina made his debut as Doc Ock in Sam Raimi’s 2004 version of Spider-Man 2, which starred Tobey Maguire as Spidey. The sequel to Raimi’s Spider-Man was a notable superhero film, with critics praising its emotional impact and spectacular effects.

Furthermore, critics praised Molina’s performance of Doc Ock, which has since been hailed as one of the best interpretations of a Spider-Man villain ever seen on the big screen. At the end of Raimi’s film, Dr. Octavius directs his sentient tentacles to destroy the nuclear reactor that threatens New York City, killing himself in the process. Doc Ock may not be gone forever, according to the teaser for No Way Home.

Surprisingly, according to Screenrant, CG wasn’t just used to create Doc Ock’s tentacles in No Way Home. De-aging treatments were employed on Molina to take fifteen years off his appearance, as he previously admitted. Molina has already admitted that repeating his role as Doc Ock after such a long time is tough for him, admitting that he doesn’t move the same way he did when he was younger. He also claimed that it didn’t matter because Doc Ock’s tentacles did all the work and he only had to stand there.

The first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, on the other hand, became such a hit that it doubled the views of the second trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, which had managed to rack up 135 million views in just 24 hours.
