
Times Nightlife awards presented in Mumbai
What is known as the Oscars of entertainment awards, the Times Food and Nightlife Guide 2012 felicitated its proud winners amidst a star-studded evening at ITC Grand Central, Parel in Mumbai. Elated restaurateurs, hoteliers and chefs collected their awards from some prominent figures that included industrialists, film personalities and designers among others

The annual Times Nightlife Awards were held last night at the ITC Grand Central and saw several renowned establishments being awarded amongst multiple categories for their contribution in the hospitality, entertainment and nightlife industry.
Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt & wife, Maanayata, Times Group MD Vineet Jain, actress Neha Dhupia, director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, former Miss India Neha Hinge and Manasvi Mamgai were among the celebrities present at the event. Amongst the winners, several known names were felicitated. Some of these include Zinc, Blue Frog & Prive.
Zinc, founded by Armaan Chowdhury, Areef Patel and Sameer Sain, won the ‘Best Nightclub Award’. The trio operate the club under their hospitality venture – Aarex Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.
Armaan Chowdhury is the grandson of Ghazal Maestro Jagjit Singh. He joined forces with Areef Patel of Patel Transport & Roadways and Sameer Sain of Everstone Capital to bring his vision of a world class nightclub to life. The club soon became a staple in the entertainment scene of the city, frequented by movie stars and industrialists.
He spoke about the company’s plans to expand and invest further in domestic and international territories across all sectors of the hospitality industry – nightclubs, restaurants and hotels. “We are elated about this award and have several exciting plans in the works. The sector has witnessed strong growth in the recent years and I expect it to grow further. I am grateful for the support of my partners and look forward to what we can achieve in the future.”
