The Episode Length of the Peacemaker Show Has Been Revealed

Peacemaker, the new HBO Max series starring James Gunn and John Cena, has been given an episode length. Peacemaker is a new character in the DC Extended Universe who will first appear in James Gunn’s next DCEU film The Suicide Squad.

In their deadly mission on Corto Maltese, he’ll be joined by Harley Quinn, Bloodsport, King Shark, and a bevvy of other criminals. Peacemaker has been compared to a “douchey Captain America,” someone who is so obsessed with peace that he will kill to obtain it. For HBO Max, Gunn authored the entire series and is directing five of the eight episodes.

Peacemaker also features Danielle Brooks, Chukwudi Iwuji, Robert Patrick, and a host of recurrent characters from Orange is the New Black. As John Economos, Vigilante, and Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee, Freddie Stroma, and Jennifer Holland will reprise their roles from The Suicide Squad. The series will serve as a prequel to The Suicide Squad, detailing Peacemaker’s origins and how he came to be in Belle Reve.
