Taapsee Pannu shines as a sprinter in the hard-hitting sports movie Rashmi Rocket

It’s Taapsee Pannu’s universe, and it’s only pouring movies there. Taapsee’s next film, Rashmi Rocket, is out now, after Annabelle Sethupathi’s release. The film’s trailer was out today, and it features Taapsee in her most fit avatar ever. Taapsee plays a young sprinter in Rashmi Rocket, alongside Priyanshu Painyuli and Abhishek Banerjee.

Taapsee’s Great Transformation

Taapsee has previously shared a number of images, as well as her appearance and the intense physical transformation she underwent to play the role. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the producers have decided against a theatrical release. The sports drama, which stars Taapsee as the lead, will instead be released on a streaming site. On Thursday, she shared the trailer on her social media accounts.

The title of the film centres around a sprinter who faces an obstacle on her route to success when she is requested to take a gender test. The film tells the story of what happens next in Rashmi’s life and how she fights the system to win despite all difficulties.

 Taapsee wrote, “मिलिए रश्मि से , जिसके लिए ‘हार जीत तो परिणाम है , कोशिश हमारा काम है’ ।#RashmiRocket Premieres 15th October on #ZEE5.” 

The film’s plot centres around a sprinter who faces a hurdle on her route to success when she is requested to take a gender test. The film tells the story of what happens next in Rashmi’s life and how she fights the system to win despite all obstacles.

The film, directed by Akarsh Khurana, began filming last year and was extensively shot around Pune and Mumbai. For her fans and following, the actress had documented her physical transformation. Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies, Neha Anand, and Pranjal Khandhdiya are the producers of Rashmi Rocket. The sports drama will premiere on ZEE5 on October 15th.

Aside from this sports drama, the actress is now filming Shabaash Mithu, a cricket biopic about cricketer Mithali Raj. Blurr and Looop Lapeta are also in the works for Taapsee.
