According to reports, it is believed that Shahid Kapoor was waiting for the right project after doing Jersey. He was reportedly not happy with the films he was being offered. The actor also rejected two films of Karan Johar.
But here’s the great news for fans of the actor and for fans of Sujoy Ghosh’s work. As per reports, they are both collaborating on a movie. There are not many details that have been revealed about the venture yet. A source revealed that Shahid and Sujoy have been speaking about a potential collaboration for some time now.
Things seem to have fallen in place now as the source added that Shahid has loved the script. If everything goes right, the film will start production this year itself. The Padmavat actor was said to be waiting for the right script. He was not happy with the projects he was being offered and he also rejected two of the projects by Karan.
The actor’s fans are eagerly waiting for his upcoming venture, Jersey to premiere. There are reports of him being a part of Mahabharat’s Karna in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s next movie. Shahid will need to do a lot of preparation for the mythological drama and the makers are planning to roll the venture next year. The movie will be made on a large scale and will premiere in 2023.

Shahid recently took to Twitter to express his reaction to Raj and DK’s release of the trailer for The Family Man 2. With the director duo, the actor will make his streaming debut. After director duo Raj & DK released the trailer for The Family Man 2, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Shahid Kapoor feels left out. With the pair, the Jersey star will make his multimedia debut.
The director duo posted the trailer for the highly awaited season 2 on Twitter on Wednesday. “As mentioned previously. This is the summer. Season 2 of #TheFamilyMan is now available “They added a caption to the message. “I’m absolute FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) LOMO etc,” Shahid wrote in response to the post.
Manoj was left speechless by Shahid’s reaction. He added a couple of laughing emojis to the tweet’s thread. “Hahaha… @BajpayeeManoj nailed it!!” Raj and DK added. Shahid announced earlier this year that he was working with the director duo on an untitled project. The series will be available on Amazon Prime Video, just like The Family Man. “My favourite Indian show on Amazon Prime Video is The Family Man,” the actor said in a tweet. “I loved the story concept when I first heard it, and it has been an exciting ride so far!” he said, adding, “I couldn’t think of anyone better for my digital debut than them!” I’m very excited to show this series to the audience.”
Filming for the movie has already started for the star. On Instagram, he had previously shared videos from the set. Raashi Khanna also appears in the series.
