Season 6 of Riverdale is currently in production

According to showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, production on Riverdale season 6 has just begun. The CW show, which debuted in 2017 and quickly gained fame, is a dark remake of the Archie comics that pits friends Archie, Veronica, Betty, and Jughead against killers, gangs, illegal drugs, and much more.

Season 5 of the show is still on the air, having returned from a hiatus on August 11th. The season’s finale is currently scheduled on October 6.

Glimpse of Season 5

Season 5 has already made some of the show’s signature big moves, jumping seven years forward in time after the characters’ high school graduation in episode 3.

The hunt for a freeway killer, escaped prisoners, a secret underground palladium, no fewer than two individuals going missing, and one upcoming episode characterised as a “standalone mini opera” between Betty and Jughead have all been included in this segment of the season.

Despite the fact that the season hasn’t ended yet, the series is gearing up for a bigger plotline in the near future.

#Riverdale Season Six

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa revealed on Instagram that shooting for Season 6 has begun, presenting stunning new artwork along with the announcement.

The artwork highlights the Roman numerals “VI” in the Riverdale logo, which represents a tree with bright blossoms on one side revealing blasted and bare branches on the other while storm clouds gather behind it.

With the caption “Forces are gathering for the ultimiate struggle between Good and Evil as the cameras begin to roll on #Riverdale Season Six,” Aguirre-Sacasa has hinted some big storyline clues regarding the upcoming season’s direction.

Battle Between Good And Evil

After Season 5, viewers of the series will undoubtedly be able to put together more and more about where the next season is going.

Betty and Archie’s friendship has already been confirmed to develop, so could the teased engagement (which you can know won’t go exactly as planned) be between them?

Also, given Hiram Lodge’s everytime spirit, it’s likely that his new contract will be the spark for a major showdown. “The ultimate war between good and evil” is a high statement for a teen show to make, but if any show can achieve the heady heights that caption demands, it’s Riverdale.
