Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are married!!!
The couple has revealed that they got married in an intimate ceremony as per Meals on Wheels America’s Instagram account. On October 29, Meals on Wheels confirmed that the Avengers star has tied the knot with the Saturday Night Live star.
They took to Instagram and shared that they are thrilled to break the news about Scarlett and Colin getting married over the weekend in an intimate ceremony. The statement also added that they celebrated the day with their friends and loved ones and followed the COVID-19 safety precautions.
The organization further added, “Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica.” The non-profit organization also shared a picture of a Staten Island Ferry that said, “Jost Married”.
Their wedding plans were canceled because of the chaos of COVID-19. Colin recently had shared with Andy Cohen that this was no time to get all their elderly, risk-relatives together in one big group. He had said he does not know when that moment will arrive.
The SNL star had previously admitted to being scared of marriage before meeting Scarlett.
He said: “I’m getting married and it’s such a crazy thing. I was so scared of marriage for so long because every time I talked to someone who just got married, or was about to get married, is like, ‘Oh my God, you got to do it … What could go wrong?’ Then you talk to someone who’s been married for five years, and they’re like, ‘Don’t rush into it … you have your whole life ahead of you.”
“I’ve met someone I love”
The couple had confirmed they are engaged back in May 2019. Scarlett revealed how her fiancé at the time had taken a note from James Bond for the proposal. The actress revealed that Colin had nailed the proposal and shared how he did a whole James Bond situation.
She said, “it was surprising. He’s got a lot behind that news desk that he’s hiding.” The Lucy star revealed her amazing engagement ring at red carpet events ahead. This will mark Scarlett’s third marriage.
The actress was previously married to Deadpool star, Ryan Reynolds. However, the former couple announced they are getting a divorce back in 2010 after being married for two years. Scarlett was then married to Romain Dauriac and welcomed their daughter, Rose in the same year.
They finalized their divorce back in 2017 after which the actress crossed paths with the SNL star. Meanwhile, Colin previously dated Rashida Jones. Colin opened up about Scarlett in his memoir and described her as having grace and a smile he has never seen in any other human.
He wrote, “I’ve met someone I love and who I feel more comfortable with than I ever have before. I feel more confident committing to what I’m working on and standing by whatever I create, regardless of whether people like it or not.”
According to the source, when the couple started dating back in 2017, Scarlett had said he is different than many of the men she has been with. The source added, “She is pretty picky who she goes out with even if it’s just dating. They share many similarities together.”
