Red Notice 2 and 3 are possible, and will most likely be shot back-to-back
Parts 2 and 3 of Red Notice, according to filmmaker Rawson Marshall Thurber, are a serious possibility and would likely shoot back-to-back.
The picture, which stars Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot, was written and directed by Thurber.
Red Notice, which just debuted on Netflix, has amassed a total viewing time of 148 million hours too far, earning it the record of largest opening day for the streaming service.
Red Notice 2 and 3 are possible
The popular comedy Dodgeball, starring Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller, launched Thurber’s Hollywood career. He went on to direct another comedic blockbuster, We’re The Millers, starring Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston, before reuniting with The Rock for Central Intelligence, which also starred Kevin Hart. He followed that up with Skyscraper, a Die-Hard-style film starring Dwayne Johnson, and now Red Notice, a Netflix success. He’ll next star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain in Tom Clancy’s thriller The Division.
Thurber was most hopeful about a sequel(s) to Red Notice over all others when speaking with THR, who ran down his filmography and asked about sequel possibility. When asked about the speculation that two and three would shoot back-to-back, Thurber responded it would be the “only responsible thing” to film them that way.

“If we were to make a sequel, the only responsible thing would be to make two and three back-to-back. It’s such a big production, and if you can mount it one time, it will be better for everyone. Including for my mental health.”
Because all three Red Notice stars have a full plate of projects, it may take some time for further Red Notice to be filmed. Johnson will star in Amazon’s Red One, directed by Jake Kasdan, and will release Black Adam next year.
Reynolds recently wrapped The Adam Project and Spirited and is now taking a break from acting. Gadot is now filming the spy thriller Heart of Stone and is set to star in Cleopatra and Wonder Woman 3 with Patty Jenkins. She’ll also play the Evil Queen in Disney’s live-action Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs adaption.
