Netflix calls Ed Sheeran’s appearance in Red Notice is “iconic”

In a widely mocked tweet, Netflix deems Ed Sheeran’s cameo in Red Notice “iconic.” The comedy-action film stars Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds, and it recently had the largest opening day in Netflix history.

Ed Sheeran is “iconic”

The movie’s star power is obviously a significant reason why audiences have been coming to it since it debuted on the world’s largest streaming service. However, it turns out that celebrities Johnson, Gadot, and Reynolds aren’t the only big names in the picture. Late in the film, viewers are treated to a special surprise visit from music sensation Ed Sheeran, who adds his comedic talents to the mix. A wealthy family is planning a spectacular wedding, with Sheeran performing as the entertainment.

However, the authorities quickly sweep in and begin detaining everyone, including Sheeran, who is understandably upset at getting caught up in the operation, prompting him to cry “Do you have no idea who I am? I’m Ed Sheeran, and I was in Game of Thrones, b—-h!” Sheeran, much to the displeasure of many fans, appeared as a Lannister soldier in a GoT season 7 episode.

Have A Look

Despite the film’s massive popularity in its first few days on Netflix, there has been some pushback to Red Notice in general. Despite being apparently the greatest budget film in the streamer’s history, several viewers have commented that the video appears to be somewhat low-budget.

The picture has received unusually strong criticism from critics, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of only 35%. Audiences on RT, on the other hand, have been significantly more generous, giving the film a 91 percent rating so far.
