Rashmika Mandanna has wrapped filming on her Bollywood debut, Mission Majnu, in which she co-stars with Sidharth Malhotra.
Mandanna is most recognised for her roles in the Kannada film Anjani Putra and the Telugu hit Geetha Govindam, both of which she starred in in 2018.
Late Saturday evening, RSVP, the banner behind the film, released a photo of the actor from the set, announcing the film’s conclusion.
Mission Majnu is based on true events that occurred in the 1970s. In the film, Sidharth Malhotra plays a RAW agent, while Rashmika Mandanna’s role is currently unknown. Under their respective production houses RSVP and Guilty By Association, Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala, and Garima Mehta will produce the film.
The film, which is Shantanu Bagchi’s directorial debut, is produced by Ronnie Screwvala of RSVP, as well as Amar Butala and Garima Mehta (Guilty By Association Media). Malhotra uploaded a photo of the pair on Instagram Stories.
“You’re a true hero. It’s been a real pleasure, thank you so much, and I hope to see you again soon “The Shershaah star wrote this.
Mandanna responded by saying, “Sid, you’ve always been so lovely… I had a great time dealing with you. You’re fantastic. It’s all my joy.”
Mandanna will play a crucial role in the espionage thriller Mission Majnu, which follows the journey of a RAW operative who leads India’s secret mission on Pakistani soil.
The film stars Sharib Hashmi and Kumud Mishra and was written by Parveez Shaikh and Aseem Arrora of Bell Bottom fame, as well as Sumit Batheja of Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana fame.
