Salman Khan’s latest Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai was released on May 13 during Eid on ZEE5’s pay-per-view service ZEEPlex. The film was supposed to be released inside the theaters but due to lockdown and growing COVID cases, theaters were closed.
Salman Khan, a few days ago, took to social media to warn those who were involved in the act of pirating the movie. Now, Zee Entertainment Enterprise has filed a lawsuit with the Cyber Cell for criminal theft owing to piracy.
According to an official statement, “Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEE) has lodged a formal lawsuit at the Cyber Cell, pertaining to the pirated version of the film ‘Radhe’ being circulated across messaging platforms, including WhatsApp and Telegram. The officials are actively tracking down the phone numbers involved in this act of piracy, taking the required legal actions.”
It also added, “ZEE also appealed to the entire community, seeking their support in the fight against crime, not just ‘Radhe’, but any form of content. “The film also plays a role in the economy through state taxes. Films create livelihood, employment, and a source of income for millions of people working for the industry. People who are involved in distributing illegal versions of the film, not only endors the crime, but also have a detrimental effect on the industry and the lives of those who work day and night.
“The appeal is being made to all the responsible citizens, asking them to say no to piracy and to consume entertainment or information content only through official platforms,” it concluded.
Along with Salman Khan, Radhe also plays Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, and Jackie Shroff in key roles. The movie is presented with Salman Khan films in collaboration with ZEE Studios, produced by Salma Khan, Sohail Khan and Reel Life Production Pvt. limited.
