However, the number of subscribers and viewers are not the only elements of PewDiePie’s YouTube channel that touch millions. There’s one more thing – his YouTube channel membership income.
$1.5 Million Channel Membership Revenue Donated
Though the past one and a half year or so, the Swedish YouTuber has donated more than $1 Million to different charities, thanks to the income from his channel membership.
PewDiePie believes in the power of philanthropy and regularly engages in donating money to charities. In November 2020, PewDiePie revealed that he has donated a major chunk of his income from ‘stream super chats’ to charity.
On August 29, PewDiePie posted the details about his most recent charity of $1.5 Million. He also took a moment to thank all his supporters for making the feat possible because the money for charity came users who paid for PewDiePie’s channel membership .
Which Charities Did The Money Go To?
He wrote: “In 2020 and 2021, through membership revenue – which I vouched to donate to charity – we were able to donate the total of $1,520,003 for various amazing charities,” he wrote in a community update.

As usual, PewDiePie’s supporters expressed their love and appreciation for him. They were amazed at the Swede’s generosity and felt good to be exclusive members of his channel.
One user wrote “Pewds is legitimately so generous, I don’t understand how people can hate this man.”
Another one said “The fact he gets over $1 million through memberships is insane. What’s even more insane is that he donates it.”
