Natalie Mariduena is David Dobrik’s childhood friend and she recently made a guest appearance on the BFFs podcast. During the podcast, the co-host, Dave Portnoy asked her opinion was on David’s situation after the allegations of sexual misconduct and bullying against him and his squad.
For people who are unaware, David and Jason Nash were accused by Seth Francois of assault back in 2020. The YouTuber was also involved in Dominykas Zeglaitis’s allegations from a young woman who accused him of using the footage for his vlog. His Vlog Squad and he attempted to defend their actions before apologizing. The influencer then took a short break from YouTube before announcing his return earlier this year.
Natalie was David’s assistant and first made her appearance on David’s vlog as that. However, she then became a permanent member of the Vlog Squad. The Vlog Squad member did not comment on David’s situation until now. She claimed that she was the closest to David and they had been friends since the two lived in Chicago.
Natalie said,
“So I know him the best out of everybody and I think it’s really sh-tty, I think that everything that happened was really sh-tty and he’s a really great guy. And it really sucks to see someone who’s acutally a good person being accused of terrible things.”
The influencer said this was her first podcast interview before making the statement. Before discussing anything else, the podcast co-host asked her opinion on David’s situation. He then asked her about the Vlog Squad and her modelling debut for Sports Illustrated.
The clip of the BFFs podcast was shared on Instagram by defnoodles. One user commented that he still did the things and they were on his video. The user added that he did not physically assault anyone but he was a big part of putting the girls in that situation. They further added, “Also making dom to be a funny character as a joke because he’s a sexual harasser lol! Not saying David can’t change, there possibility and I don’t blame Natalie for saying how good a person she thinks he is. But maybe don’t pretend the sh-t he got in trouble for wasn’t valid.”
Another user expressed that David will ruin people’s lives any chance he has to make money. The user added that he is just good to his “piece of sh-t friends”.
