Ms. Marvel Release Window disclosed By Disney CEO

Walt Disney Studios CEO Bob Chapek has officially disclosed the release date for Ms. Marvel.

Kamala Khan’s Disney+ show was first confirmed by Marvel Studios at D23 in late 2019. Ms. Marvel was revealed as part of the second wave of Marvel Cinematic Universe episodes coming to the streaming service, alongside She-Hulk and Moon Knight.

The announcement was made without any indication of when the series would premiere, although it was later announced that Ms. Marvel would premiere in 2021. That was before COVID-19 forced Marvel Studios and Disney to reorganize Phase 4 for the most part.

Window release of ms marvel

Ms. Marvel has been in production for a few months now, and fans have been waiting for news on the series. Iman Vellani, a newcomer, will play Kamala Khan in the show, and Marvel gave fans a sneak peek at her portrayal in late 2020 with some early video.

It wasn’t until later that it became evident that Ms. Marvel would miss the 2021 deadline. Multiple rumors have suggested that the show will premiere in early 2022, making Kamala’s MCU debut several months ahead of her already announced a comeback in The Marvels. Ms. Marvel’s release date has been officially updated, and it’s more later than previously thought.

Ms. Marvel was mentioned at Disney’s Q4 2021 Earnings Call by CEO Bob Chapek as one of the titles that will be published in Q4 2022. The fiscal year of Disney spans from November through October the following year.

The fourth quarter of their fiscal year runs from July through October. Based on that information and Chapek’s words, fans will have to wait until after June 2022 to see Ms. Marvel, unless the plans alter again.

Kamala Khan in the MCU

The newest delay comes as promo art for Ms. Marvel leaked online, supposedly depicting a new power set for Kamala Khan in the MCU. It has already proven to be a controversial decision among fans, but it is unknown whether audience reaction and the possibility of alteration played a role in Ms. Marvel’s revised release date.

It’s possible that the decision is linked to Marvel’s larger Phase 4 delays. Because the show is supposed to set up Kamala’s role in The Marvels, the Captain Marvel sequel’s early 2023 release date could have affected the outcome.
