Mrunal Thakur and Aditya Roy Kapur will star in the Hindi remake of ‘Thadam’

Fans have been unable to remain calm since the announcement of the Hindi version of Tamil hit movie Tadam. Sidharth Malhotra had previously been announced as the male lead in the film.

But, for unspecified reasons, he left the project later, and Aditya Roy Kapur took over. Mrunal Thakur, on the other hand, has been connected to the film since the announcement of the Hindi version.

Loved The Storyline

Mrunal Thakur will portray a female cop in the Hindi version, which follows two lookalikes who are the main suspects in a murder case. “When I heard the storyline, I immediately felt that I needed to be a part of this film,” the actress said of her involvement in the film. My character is interesting, and I’ve always wanted to play a cop. This will be unlike any other character I’ve portrayed before.”

One of the things that drew her to the film was the idea that she would be matched against Aditya, unlike in other spicy films where female stars are limited to playing the writer’s love interest.

Mrunal even turned to Instagram to tell her fans about the happy news. She captioned a photo of herself with Aditya Roy Kapur, ” “It’s time for a face-off!! Are you ready, @adityaroykapur?”

Mrunal’s Recent Performances

Mrunal Thakur’s engagements appear to be in danger, as the lockdown has thrown all of the stars’ schedules into chaos. She’ll have to juggle the picture with Raja Krishna Menon’s war epic, Pippa, which starts shooting in Delhi in October.

Mrunal also has Jersey opposite Shahid Kapoor, in addition to the Hindi remake of Thadam. Fans adored her performance in Toofaan, which she co-starred in with Farhan Akhtar.
