Monsta X Announces Movie Ahead Of ‘The Dreaming’ Release
In 2021, Monsta X appears to be busier than ever. Not only are they going to make their second comeback of the year; but an English album, an American tour; and now a movie is all in the works.
The ‘Wanted’ and ‘Gambler’ era fed Monbebes (Monsta X’s fans) pretty well in the first half of 2021. However, the K-pop trio announced a week ago that a Korean language album would be released in November. In October, fans appear to be getting back-to-back announcements.
Monsta X had infact, picked the date for their sophomore English album a week before unveiling ‘No Limit,’ their 10th K-pop mini-album. When the boy band released their first English album, All About Love, in 2020; it grabbed the world by storm.
The album was a runaway success, topping multiple charts, including Billboard. There had been whispers that they will return with a second English album, and it appears that they will. On December 10, The Dreaming will be released. Their recent pre-released single, One Day is featured on the 10-track English album. Monsta X is going all out to get it.
Idols appear on music shows and perform their title songs in K-pop promotions, which are significantly different from those in the West. The boys, on the other hand, are adopting a different approach with their second English album; since they have decided to release a film with the same name. The film, titled ‘Monsta X: The Dreaming,’ will be premiering in theatres on December 9 and 11 in advance of the album’s release.
Shownu Will Also Be A Part Of The Movie
The film will be released in more than 70 countries throughout the world. With the event movie genre becoming increasingly popular, more and more musicians; such as the Jonas Brothers and Blackpink, are creating documentaries on their journey. Monsta X: The Dreaming, meantime, is a documentary-style film that will follow Monsta X’s journey over the last six years since its debut in 2015.
It will feature never-before-seen films from their time in the United States during the All About Love era; as well as special performances from The Dreaming; and exclusive interviews with each member. On November 14, tickets will go on sale.
Fans can rejoice because Shownu will be included, as it has been planned months in advance. Since enlisting for his mandatory military service, the group’s leader is temporarily on sabbatical. Monsta X has also joined the lineup of the American event iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour; following the release of the album and film.
From December 13 to 19, they will make four visits to the United States. This is their third time performing on the iHeartRadio tour, having done so in 2018 and 2019.
