Mission Impossible 7 Production Shuts Down After Positive COVID-19 Test

The production of Mission Impossible 7 has shut down due to a positive COVID-19 test from one of the members of the production team.

It hasn’t revealed the plto details for the upcoming installment in the Tom Cruise-led franchise. However, Christopher McQuarrie has returned to the writers desk and will also act as the director of both seventh and eigth installments. Alongside Tom, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby and Ving Rhames are also returning. The cast also includes new comers like Marvel’s Peggy Carter actress, Hayley Atwell, Rob Delaney, and Cary Elwes.

Mission Impossible 7 has already seen a lot of delays because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The release date of the upcoming action venture has been bumped from July 2021 to November 2021. As a result, even the release of Misson Impossible 8 was also delayed. It was moved from August 2022 to November 2022. Unfortunately, the production had delayed yet again.

As per reports, the production of Mission Impossible 7 has been paused because a member of the production team has tested positive for COVID-19. The production has been shut down for 14 days and the safety practices have been adhered to. Paramount also released a statement regarding the shutdown.

They said, “We have temporarily halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 until June 14th, due to positive coronavirus test results during routine testing. We are following all safety protocols and will continue to monitor the situation.”
