Millie Bobby Brown Revealed Her Grandmother Died In Heartfelt Tribute
Millie Bobby Brown shared that she is mourning the loss of her grandmother. She recently lost her grandmother to her battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
The actress took to her social media to announce the death of her grandmother, Ruth. She paid a heartbreaking tribute to the family member and she wrote on her Instagram how she has no words that make sense.
She wrote, “There’s no feeling to pinpoint. Loss is something so complex and I go thru spells where I can’t stop crying and then I laugh about all the memories and then sit quietly and try to comprehend what happened.”
Millie described Alzheimer’s as evil and cruel. She further added it takes away someone’s ability to remember memories and how to function as a human being. The actress said it is hard to sit there and watch.
The Stranger Things alum further wrote she will always be her “millie moos” as a message to her grandmother. She wrote, “I loved you more than anyone could ever love. I’ll tell everyone about you and the lessons u taught me. I’ll thank you every day for the laughs and memories u gave me all throughout my life so far.”
The actress also shared a black-and-white video of herself kissing her grandmother. She also shared how she did not get a chance to say her final goodbyes in person because of the ongoing global pandemic. The Enola Holmes alum wrote, “I couldn’t come home to give u one last snuggle because of Covid-19 so FaceTime was all that we had.”
“There’s No Forgetting A Soul Like This One.”
Millie added further addressing her grandmother that she sang to her as her voice could take it. She shared how these are the memories she will never forget. The actress added that her grandmother was her guardian angel and wrote that she loves her.
She wrote, “She is truly my guardian angel. I love you nanny. There’s no forgetting a soul like this one. I hope time will somewhat heal. But for now ill hug mummy and watch videos of us singing and dancing,” she added. “Rest easy x.”
The actress also shared with her fans some of the memories that she shared with her grandmother. She shared how cats were walking around and the kids played outside when she visited nanny Ruth’s house. The Stranger Things star shared that she used to give her the biggest hug and told her she would see her later.
Millie recalled, “As I played outside with all of the children for hours and hours. She would sit there by the window and say ‘don’t go too far’ ‘stay nearby’ ‘It’s time to come in.’ ” She also looked back at enjoying “ham, bread, chips, and beans” with her grandmother.
The Enola Holmes alum shared that after dinner she used to sing to her grandmother or they would figure out some crossword puzzle. She further added, “Midnight would come and we would lay in bed and she’d tell me stories about her memories as a child and what living through World War 2 was like.”
Millie’s fans offered their condolences along with her co-stars. Her Stranger Thing’s co-star, Noah Schnapp commented, “Rest easy nanny ❤️❤️”. So did her Enola Holmes co-star, Burn Gorman who commented writing he is sorry to hear the news. He wrote, Love to you and all your special family. X.”
“Oh Mills. I’m so sorry,” actor Aaron Paul shared. “Love to you and your beautiful family.”
