Miley Cyrus Says She’s Recovering From ‘Rager’ After Photos Surface
Miley Cyrus has been on the news recently as she went viral after penning an emotional tribute to her iconic character, Hannah Montana. The singer paid homage to the show and the character on its 15year anniversary.
She celebrated the milestone in public as photos of her surfaced online where she was letting her hair down. The Malibu singer referred to her night out on Instagram later as she called it a “rager”. She further shared a set of pictures and captioned it as she wrote, “Me recovering from / reliving last night’s rager.”
Miley was wearing a Hannah Montana crop top on the set of pictures. She paired it with denim jeans and hot pink gloves. An entertainment publication then posted several more pictures of the singer from that event. The former Disney star was seen pouring clear liquid into a glass.
It is unclear if she was drinking alcohol or not during the celebration. The photos have raised questions on whether she has ditched her path of sobriety. This topic was also discussed back in November when she appeared on Apple’s New Music Daily Radio with Zane Lowe.
Miley revealed that she fell off her sober recovery during the coronavirus pandemic. She shared that she would never sit here and falsely claim she is sober. The singer admitted that she did not and she fell off. She said, “I didn’t, and I fell off and I realized that I now am back on sobriety, two weeks sober, and you know I feel like I really accepted that time.” The Plastic Hearts singer also opened up about her sobriety from drugs in an interview with Rolling Stone published in January.
“I would say it would have to be a cold day in hell for me to relapse on drugs”
“[I] haven’t done drugs in years. Honestly, I never try to, again, be a fortune-teller. I try to not be naïve,” she told the outlet via the Daily Mail. She shared that things happen and that it would have to be a “cold day in hell” for her to relapse on drugs.
Miley said, “Things f—ing happen. But from sitting here with you right now, I would say it would have to be a cold day in hell for me to relapse on drugs,” She shared a tribute to her past character this week, the singer has shed her Disney star image. The Hannah Montana star took on a bit of a controversial personality as some reports suggest.
She has admitted that a lot has changed since her time as a Disney Starchild. “We had an equal exchange in which you provided a superlative amount of fame in return for the anonymity I could gift to you, but A LOT has changed since then,” Cyrus wrote in her letter posted on Instagram. “You were like a rocket that flew me to the moon & never brought me down. I couldn’t have imagined when taping myself singing, “I Love Rock N Roll” against a white wall in my mom’s friend’s kitchen in Nashville, TN the name typed in marquee-style letters on the front of a first draft script would make my wildest dreams a reality.”
