Marvel President Kevin Feige Reveals When Avengers 5 Will Premiere
The Marvel president Kevin Feige has revealed a rough estimate as to when Avengers 5 could premiere in theatres. MCU has become a huge part of the film industry after starting out as a gamble. Nobody could predict where MCU will be back in 2012; when Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow and Hawkeye had come together to fight Loki.
Since then, three more Avengers movies have been released with Marvel nearing the premiere of its 25th film with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The future of the MCU is becoming more exciting as the studio moves deeper into its Phase 4 slate. Marvel made no delay in dipping their toes in OTT platforms as they have already released four streaming shows.
And they have more shows on the way, all of which will be related to the theatrical releases as well. It is anticipated that by 2023, nine Marvel movies are slated for release and this includes Marvel’s latest, Shang-Chi. But the news for Avengers 3 has been extremely less.
Avengers: Endgame was the end of an era; as the movie said goodbye to a few of the founding members of the group. This included Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Chris Evans’ Captain America. But as the introduction of new heroes is making their way into the MCU, fans are speculating when the next superhero team-up will be released.
Avengers 5 Will Include New Heroes From The MCU
We have the answer to your questions now as Kevin Feige sat down with Collider; to reveal that the “new saga” is taking shape as Marvel is continuing to introduce new heroes. He added it has started laying the foundation for plots that will come into fruition over the next several years. The Marvel president notes that he wants there to be a decent amount of time between Endgame and the next major Avengers team-up.
However, he did not give an estimated amount of time for us to look forward to. The president said,
“I think we want there to be a reasonable amount of time from the Endgame to start a new saga, which is already underway and already started. And then you need time, as you did in Phase 1, to build that saga before you start bringing everyone together.”
The original Avengers movie had released four years after Iron Man was released. Then the sequel premiered after three years in 2015. Infinity War and Endgame premiered three years after Avengers: Age of Ultron and was released back-to-back in 2018 and 2019.
However, it seems like there might be more than a four years gap between Endgame and the next Avengers movie. Marvel is introducing back-to-back heroes and shows no signs of slowing down with Blade; the Fantastic Four and the X-Men set to be introduced as well.
