Kylie Jenner Quietly Drops $5K After Backlash For Sharing Friend’s Fundraiser

Kylie Jenner was the victim of recent backlash and dropped $5,000 into a fundraiser she was criticized for sharing with her fans.

The reallity star received backlash for sharing a GoFundme page for a celebrity makeup artist’s medical expenses. A page was setup for Samuel Rauda to raise $120,000. One of their family members wrote in the description that Sam underwent surgery on Sunday. The description also revealed that he has a long road to recovery ahead of him.

Further the damily member wrote, “He has a long road to recovery ahead of him. I know he is loved by many. Your donations will help cover the cost of his medical expenses and whats to come. Please know that a donation of any amount is greatly appreciated. The Lord bless you abundantly!”

The Kylie Cosmetics founder had shared a page urging people to donate but faced immense backlash from people. Fans and critics pointed out that she could easily cover the entire costs herself. Kylie, however, donated and made the total to $5,000. Bella Thorne also donated $5,000 while Sofia Richie handed over $3,000.

Sofia used to date Kylie’s sister, Kourtney’s ex, Scott Disick. The fundraising goal is now $120,000, but more than $99,000 raised at the time of writing. But the initial goal was set at $10,000. The donation page prompted people to criticize the reality star for sharing the page rather than paying the amount herself.

One person tweeted: “It’s the fact that Kylie Jenner owns purses that cost more than her close friends emergency brain surgery and she’s out here begging poor people to donate to his Go Fund Me page……… that doesn’t sit right with me.”

Fans Criticize Kylie For Asking Money

Another penned: “Kylie Jenner bought her toddler a $15,000 handbag but is asking her fans for money.” Despite the backlash, Kylie didn’t publicise her generous donation. After the donations, Sam’s family updated that they are grateful to each and everyone who has donated or sent their prayers in support of Samuel.

They continued, “We have felt the love and know that your continued prayers for healing are very much appreciated. It has been uplifting to witness how Sam not only brought a ray of shine to our lives but to many across the world.

” And it has been a week since Sam’s accident. It has not been easy. In the midst of it all, Sam continues to fight, showing us how strong he truly is. Please continue to send prayers his way”.
