John Legend Is “So, So Grateful” For Chrissy Teigen & Their Children This Thanksgiving
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are both celebrating Thanksgiving with their loved ones. The singer shared a picture of his wife with their two children, Luna and Miles.
He wrote how grateful he is for the three people after he shared a story of himself opening a bottle of champagne. Meanwhile, Chrissy has been sharing several stories on Instagram of getting glammed up along with her mother. She showed off her glam as she wore a pink dress and also shared what she is preparing this Thanksgiving.
“Just gonna do all these mushrooms psychedelically and have the best f—ing Thanksgiving ever,” she joked. The model told an entertainment portal that she would be downsizing the family’s Thanksgiving spread.
She shared that she does not have it in her to be wasting food. The cookbook author explained she has been doing this with John’s family for 10 years and that she has gotten tired of seeing the food go to waste. She shared that she goes way too much into too many sides.
“We’re just going to do the staples, and it’s going to be beautiful and we’re going to watch football,” she added. The model explained that she and her husband will make this Thanksgiving about enjoying the time with family.
She shared she does not want to wake up at 4 am and miss everything. The Cravings author shared, “I don’t want to wake up at 4 in the morning the entire week anymore to get [the meal] done. I want to enjoy the meal with my family while they’re enjoying it.”
Chrissy and John are celebrating Thanksgiving after going through a tragic time together. They lost their baby Jack at 20 weeks because of a few complications. The cookbook author shared that she was in a grief depression hole.
Chrissy Says She is In A “Very Dark Bubble”
“I’m not tweeting much because I’m honestly in a bit of a grief depression hole; but do not worry as I have so much help around me to get better and I’ll be fixed soon,” she tweeted. “they’ll call when I’m better and ready for pickup and u can swing by and grab me ok? thank u and love you!”
The Cravings author responded to being criticized for using the word “fix” when referring to her mental health. She explained that she is in a “very dark bubble” and is incapable of expressing what is happening. However, she said she is doing the best she can and shared that she feels broken.
Chrissy shared that she knows it isn’t that easy but it is all she can think of at the moment. She said that she did not mean to offend. The couple had announced recently that they are partnering with McDonalds to help give back to other families with critically ill or injured children.
From now until December 31, McDonald’s will be donating $100 as a part of a $100 million commitment. It is a goal set for the next 5 years as they will be donating for each photo or video posted to Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, or Facebook using the hashtag, #HereForRHMC.
“There are all kinds of families that face health challenges with their kids. A lot of times you have to relocate to go to the nearest children’s hospital, which might be hours away from where you live,” John told PEOPLE. “A lot of families can’t afford to do that, and Ronald McDonald House is there for them.”
“You do see beauty through the darkest clouds.”
Chrissy shared how she cannot imagine how scary it is for a child to be alone at the hospital. She said that she is a grown adult and even she cannot think about John and her mom not being with her.
The model shared, “It’s completely unfair; It’s just so beautiful to see that it doesn’t take much when we are all able to come together. That’s a really beautiful, wonderful, special thing.”
Talking about the unconditional love they received after announcing the loss of their third child; she said how incredible it has been. The model shared that the outpour of love from the internet and handwritten cards have been an incredible experience.
The Cravings author added, “We couldn’t even walk through our house for a week — there were just too many flowers. You do see beauty through the darkest clouds.”
