Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Confirms Black Adam 2022 Release Date

Wait no more for the official release date of the upcomingDC Superhero Film ‘Black Adam’.

Dwayne Johnson, who plays a titular actor in the movie, shared on his Instagram on Sunday that the DC superhero film will be released on July 29,2022.

“A disruptive and unstoppable force of a message from the man in black himself,” Johnson captioned the post that showed Times Square featuring a Black Adam visual teaser. “The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change.” The short spot with the release date was also aired during Sunday’s NCAA game.

Dwayne Douglas Johnson, also known by his ring name The Rock, is an American actor, producer, retired professional wrestler, and former American football and Canadian football player. 

The news comes after it was recently announced that Pierce Brosnan had nabbed the role of the hero character named Dr Fate.

Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone are among the others.

Shooting Of The Film

Black Adam marks the second film from New Line / DC following the 2019 hit Shazam !, featuring two characters, Shazam and Black Adam, who are best known in the DC Universe. Production of the film is set to begin in April in Atlanta.

Jaume Collet-Serra, who also directed Johnson against Emily Blunt in Disney’s upcoming Jungle Cruise, also directs Black Adam.

Johnson, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions are producers along with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo.

FlynnPictureCo’s Scott Sheldon is serving as executive producer. Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani wrote the latest draft, with Adam Sztykiel writing the previous draft.
