Lily Allen and David Harbour just took a big step in their relationship and fans have reason to believe that the couple are getting ready to tie the knot anytime now.
According to recently obtained public records, the Stranger Things star and his musician girlfriend got a marriage license in Las Vegas on Sunday, September 6. Which means that the couple now has one year to get married before the license expires on September 6, 2021. Since the license was obtained in Las Vegas, there is a possibility that the pair already tied the knot in a secret ceremony. However, even though they have a marriage license, they’re not technically married. Especially since there hasn’t been an official filing of a wedding certificate yet.
How it all started
Lily and David first sparked dating rumors in January, when they attended the BAFTA Tea Party together. The couple were then spotted together while he was filming Black Widow in London. Where they attended the performance of The Lehman Trilogy and then dined together. Following his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live in October, they were photographed heading to the show’s after party in New York City. Allen appeared to confirm the dating rumors by sharing photos from the SNL sketch. Where she captioned a zoomed-in photo of Harbour’s bicep, “Mine.”
The couple first went public with their relationship in the summer of September 2019. Harbour made their relationship social media official, at the end of October, when he shared his first-ever Instagram photo of the two enjoying a day at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Florida. He captioned a picture of the two, writing, “The prince, princess and the parking lot. That seven dwarves mine ride is the best one in the whole damn park. Go on, fight me. #magic #disney #rulebreakers.”
They would later go on to make their red carpet debut at the 2020 SAG Awards where the actor couldn’t help but gush about his beautiful date. Harbour gushed about the singer on his Instagram Stories, writing, “That’s right, it’s the brilliant, beautiful, brash, bold, brave and just f–kin’ hot @LilyAllen.”
“The first rule of engagement club is…”
In May 2020, Lily appeared to confirm engagement rumours in a rare social media post. The singer showcased what appeared to be an engagement ring in an Instagram post about her “ripped” physique. She captioned the photo, “Daily Mail readers gon say it’s Photoshop. I AM RIPPED don’t @ me.”
However, it wasn’t her abs that caught people’s attention. Her diamond sparkler, which was clearly visible on her left-hand ring finger prompted fans to believe that her man had popped the question. When a fan commented on her post asking, “Um…. engagement ring?????????????? ” Allen responded, writing, “first rule of engagement club………,” referencing the iconic Fight Club line.”The first rule of fight club is you do not talk about fight club.”
Past Relationships
Harbour has been previously linked to singer and Fantastic Beasts actor Alison Sudol, but the two split in 2019 after a year together. Lily on the other hand split from her ex-husband, Sam cooper in 2016 after five years of marriage. They finalized their divorce in June 2018.
Lili and David have reportedly been quarantining together in London along with Allen’s two children, Marnie Rose Cooper, 7, and Ethel Cooper, 8. Whom she shares with her ex-husband Sam Cooper.
According to the singer’s Instagram, the couple enjoyed a vacation in Croatia with her two children. “Bye bye Croatia,” Lily wrote along side a family photo. “We had the best time, will definitely be back. Special shout outs to our amazing crew on our amazingly beautiful vessel Nostra Vita and @goolets for sorting everything out for us so last minute. Trip of a lifetime for sure.”
Apart from uploading a snap of the happy group aboard their boat, the singer also shared an adorable clip of her beau dancing with little Marnie.
