Bill Hader and Rachel Bilson Break Up After Less Than a Year Together

Nearly six months after going public with their relationship, Bill Hader and Rachel Bilson have called it quits. Their breakup was amicable and so far, neither Bill nor Rachel have commented on the split. However, a source revealed that Bilson is “absolutely devastated.”

When they first met

The couple reportedly met for the first time back in 2013 when they co-starred in The To Do List. They eventually became close friends soon after. At the time, Rachel Bilson was seeing Star Wars actor, Hayden Christensen, with whom she shares a daughter, Briar Rose. Rachel and Hayden officially separated in 2017.

Hader, who was previously married to director, Maggie Carey, filed for divorce in 2018, after 11 years of marriage. They share three daughters together. Hannah, 10, Harper, 7, and Hayley, 5.

Rumors and Speculations

Rumors that the Saturday night live comedian and The OC actress were dating first began swirling in December 2019 when they were spotted having coffee in Bill’s hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The pair publicly confirmed their relationship when they attended the Golden Globe Awards together in January, where they walked the red carpet together. They celebrated their newfound love and Hader’s second consecutive nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series-Musical or Comedy for Barry. The two kept a very private personal life and not much was known about their relationship.

“She won’t stop laughing when she’s with Bill”

In February, a source revealed that the couple was getting more serious.

“They spend a lot of time together and it seems like a serious relationship,” the source said at the time. “They were in L.A. over the Valentine’s Day weekend. On Sunday, they enjoyed a getaway to the Montage Hotel in Laguna Beach. It was a quick getaway, but time for the two of them to be together without any distractions. She won’t stop laughing when she’s with Bill,” the source continued.

“He is very sweet and considerate to her. Quick to open doors and is very attentive. Rachel is very happy dating Bill and is excited about being with him. He treats her very well and is hilarious and fun. It seems like a fun relationship,” the source added.
