Dakota Johnson has sparked engagement rumors after three years of dating Chris Martin. She was spotted with a massive emerald stone on her ring finger in new photos.
The actress might have gotten an early Christmas present as she was photographed in West Hollywood. She was shopping and was sporting a giant emerald ring on “the finger”. The ring was a delicate gold band with a massive stone on top. We know, it can be her birth stone, however, it is not.
Dakota was born in October, which means her birthstone is an opal but she was donning an emerald which are for the people who were born in May. It is also not a diamond like traditional engagement rings, so let’s take things slow. The status of their relationship remains a mystery.
Chris and Dakota are both extremely private when it comes to their relationship. The singer and the actress were spotted in L.A. back in 2017 on a sushi date. Dakota was then seen attending a Coldplay concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina the same year. The couple was then seen having a dinner date in Israel later that time.
They were photographed as they made their rare appearance together at Ellen DeGeneres’ star studded birthday bash. The couple got Diane Keaton’s attention as she gushed about them during a visit by Ellen’s talkshow after the party. “I’m gonna talk about Chris Martin. He was with Dakota right — they’re a couple. Got it? So, what I’m saying is — he’s gorgeous,” Keaton raved.

Chris’ ex-wife, Gywneth Paltrow has all good things to say about Dakota. She told Harper Bazaar earlier this year that she loves her. The actress further shared that she can see how it would seem weird to people because its unconventional. However, she clarified that in their case, they have passed through it “iteratively” and that she adores the Fifty Shades Grey actress.
The Iron Man alum further revealed, “I always start to think of the ampersand sign—what else can you bring in, instead of being resistant to or being made insecure by? There’s so much juice in leaning in to something like that.” The couple has shown a bit of their love while strolling with their dog.
They were spotted during quarantine as they were photographed showing their rare PDA as the actress had her hands wrapped around Chris’ arm. She had looked smitten as she and the singer looked happy together. The couple also had a beach date along with Chris and Gwyneth’s children.
Chris and Dakota were last seen last month in Malibu as she was behind her ’66 Ford Mustang Shelby while Chris rode shotgun. Only time or rather the couple can reveal their relationship status.

The Sun has reported that the duo has become extremely close during the lockdown. It is also said that ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, is extremely supportive. Chris shares two daughters with her.

Gwyneth Has Pushed Them To Get Back Together
A source revealed that Chris and Dakota have had a great summer and they have gotten extremely close. It has cemented their relationship. The source further said they have had ups and downs. Chris worried that they wanted different things. However, Dakota seems super-happy and ready to commit.
The couple was first linked in 2017. Ever since they have been dating on-and-off. They confirmed their relationship in 2018. It was reported that they parted ways earlier in 2019. But it seemed something minor as they were spotted together after a month of breaking up.
Reportedly, Dakota called it quits because they were both at different stages of their lives. Especially when it came to wanting children. Gwyneth urged the couple to give it another go. They might have owed their reunion to her.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: “Gwyneth is the one who pushed them to do it.” The insider further said that Gwyneth is happy if Chris is happy. She has only wanted the best for him.
