Charli D’Amelio Cries & Reveals Why She Doesn’t Go Out
Charli D’Amelio revealed in her The D’Amelio Show on Hulu as she talks about the disadvantages of her stardom. The show premiered yesterday and fans dived quickly into it to see the sisters and their family.
The show seemed to focus mainly on the mental health struggles both Dixie and Charli have been facing after becoming internet stars. In one such instance, Charli is seen crying as she admits that she isn’t able to manage online hate. The influencer was saying that it gets more difficult every day and this is why she does not go out.
Charli said,
“I feel like it gets more difficult every day. This is why I don’t go out, I don’t want to talk to anyone.”
The influencer received a lot of hate after she reached over 100 million followers on TikTok. She was attacked online and was often called a brat after her online success. Charli and Dixie were promoting their show on Access and that is when the influencer shared how she receives biased criticism.
The TikTok star said, “I definitely do get a lot of harsh comebacks for all of the things I do, when I see other people [men] doing the same thing and not getting the same response, that’s incredibly frustrating.” When we look at the online world, female content creators do receive a lot of hate online while male content creators who have been accused of sexual harassment still thrive.
Fans Suggest The D’Amelio Sisters Should Live Private Lives
Dixie, on the other hand, also revealed how having a relationship after becoming an internet sensation has affected her mental health. She revealed on the show, “People saying, ‘I won’t believe in love if they don’t last’; — that’s a lot of pressure coming from people. Because we’re doing the best we can to just be our happiest selves in our relationship; and now we feel like people rely on our relationship.”
When Charli’s clip circulated online, many people came to her support. Some users said how it makes them feel sad for famous young people who always get the most hate. Another comment read, “Charli D’Amelio deserves better, she only does good but still gets a lot of hate.”
Few fans have also suggested that teenagers stop posting and live a private life as fame takes a toll on their mental health.
