BTS has achieved one other achievement as their BTS, THE BEST album has bought over one million copies in Japan. This album bought 807,056 copies throughout the first week of its release again in June The album was originally released on June 16th of this year and it recorded a whopping 807,056 copies sold within the first week of its release.
According to Billboard Japan, ‘BTS, THE BEST’ is the first album that was released in Japan this year to reach the 1M milestone. It was also reported the album is BTS’s first album to reach the milestone in Japan. This is also the group’s first album released in Japan to become a million seller. It is also the first album to achieve the 1M milestone for 2021.
Followed the BoA’s ‘Best of Soul‘
BTS is also the first Korean male act to become a million seller album in Japan. Back in 2005, BoA’s Best of Soul album achieved this milestone, making BTS the second million selling K-Pop singer in Japan.
