Blackpink’s Jisoo Announces Debut Solo Music’s Release Date

The much-anticipated solo debut of Blackpink’s Jisoo finally has a date. The K-pop idol herself announced the solo debut date at midnight KST on March 6. She posted it with an enticing “Coming Soon” poster on Instagram.

The poster reveals that her solo debut album will be released on March 31 and included a bright red dress in the middle of a field. Jisoo captioned the image by writing in Korean which translates to “See you soon”.

This was also announced by the official Instagram account of Blackpink. Just last month, it was revealed by Blackpink’s label, YG Entertainment that the idol is filming for her first-ever solo single’s music video. The company also revealed that her music video cost the highest in terms of the production cost of the visuals out of all Blackpink members.

It was confirmed back in January that Jisoo would make her solo debut in 2023. They also revealed at the time that she had already shot the concept photos for the album. Jisoo will be the last out of the four members to be releasing her solo debut. Jennie was the first idol from Blackpink to record her single; which was then followed by Rose and Lisa back in 2021.

However, amidst this, Blackpink is still in the middle of their Born Pink world tour. Just last year, the girl band played 10 European shows and 14 North American shows. They are going to perform over 20 concerts across Asia and Australia in the coming months.
