The cast of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra has been the subject of much discussion. The film was announced in 2019, and while there were rumours that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone would play the major parts, now Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt have been added to the cast.

Ranveer Singh was reportedly signed for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra earlier this month. Alia Bhatt has been cast as the female lead, according to Bollywood Hungama. “The character needs a particular madness, a junoon that only Ranveer can express,” a source connected to the project told the publication. The part of Ranbir was never considered for him.”
“Alia was insistent,” the insider continued. Bhansali thought she was the right fit for the part. She went insane after reading the script. “It’s the best script I’ve ever read,” Alia says.

Baiju Bawra is regarded as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most ambitious film. It was disclosed after the film Inshallah, starring Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan, was delayed. “On this auspicious day, we are thrilled to make your Diwali happier by announcing our next endeavour,” wrote Bhansali Productions on Twitter.
In Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will star together. It would be fantastic to see them at Baiju Bawra as well.
Next, SLB will release ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi,’ in which he will work with Alia Bhatt for the first time. The teaser for the film has already caught the interest of his followers. The film’s release date has yet to be announced by the producers.
Deepika and Ranveer will next be seen together in Kabir Khan’s film ’83,’ in which the actor will play cricketer Kapil Dev and the actress will play his wife Romi Dev. Deepika is also a co-producer for the film.
