Ariana Grande Surprises Fans By Announcing Arrival of New Music
Ariana Grande surprised fans on Wednesday as she revealed that she will be dropping her new album will be released this month.
The singer’s last hit was a collaboration with Lady Gaga called Rain On Me. The song soon hit the number one position. Ariana took to social media to announce the exciting news about her upcoming album.
She took to Twitter as well as Instagram and wrote, “I can’t wait to give u my album this month”. Fans did not expect this and went haywire on social media. The post of Ariana’s announcement garnered over 1 million likes within an hour. Even some of the celebrities expressed their excitement and shock.
MTV took to their social media and said they really wanted it but weren’t prepared for it. Among the celebrities, Halle Berry shared the excitement with the fans and wrote, “Oooo” with black heart emojis.
The singer’s last album, Thank U, Next was released back in 2019. It was also deemed as the second performing album in the country. The last album was also nominated for Album of the Year and also received the Best Pop Vocal Album title at the Grammy Awards 2020.
However, she did not receive any awards even after having almost five nominations. Fans were not happy and started circulating theories about the Grammy’s not acknowledging Ariana’s talent.
Thank U, Next was written by the singer when she was in the midst of trouble in her personal life. She was with ex-fiance Pete Davidson and having trouble in paradise while she also had to come to terms with the death of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller. Mac died a month after her 2018 album Sweetener was released.
Both of her relationships with Pete Davidson and Mac Miller were highly public. However, she has moved on with her now-boyfriend, Dalton Gomez, into a very private relationship. The couple was rumored to be dating after she was spotted kissing him around Valentine’s Day.
Ariana is spending quarantine time with her boyfriend as they made their relationship public in June. She posted a series of pictures that saw the couple getting cozy with each other.
The singer’s recent hit, Rain On Me was nominated for Best Video, Best Song, and Best Collaboration for the MTV Europe Music Awards. The award ceremony might be virtual and pre-recorded just the rest of the shows. MTV Awards will air on November 8th.
