Darwin’s Game Anime To Debut On Netflix US In August 2021

There are many more anime series which are on their way to Netflix in August 2021. The first one will be famous Japanese anime Darwin’s game. It is set to release on Netflix US (other region will be confirmed later) on the 1st of August.

Nexus Studio Animations

The anime released in Japan at the beginning of 2020. Darwin’s game anime is based on the FLIPFLOPs manga, which has a total of 23 volumes, with the final release that took place on May 7, 2021.

Nexus studio was established back in 2012 and is well-known for their work with Comic Girls, Granbelm, and Chivalry of a Failed Knight. Nexus will be the studio animating the upcoming series on Netflix, Darwin’s game.

What Is The Anime About?

Here’s what you can expect from this anime if you’re not familiar with the name of it:

Kaname Sudo, an ordinary high school student, receives an invitation to try a mysterious app called “Darwin’s Game.” Kaname, upon launching the app, is drawn into a game where players fight one another using superpowers called Sigils. The first season consists of 11 episodes, which are all expected to arrive on Netflix US next month.

Is The Release Date Confirmed?

It has been licensed outside of Japan through Aniplex of America, which is the property of Sony.

In spite of the date of release of Darwin’s game, it is important to understand that the anime release dates are not always concrete and there’s always a room for adjustments.

For example, just last month, it was announced that Season 6 of Hunter X Hunter was supposed to be released on Netflix, but it hasn’t happened yet. Instead it has now been postponed further back to August 1.

Where Else Is Darwin’s Game Streaming?

Worldwide, the show is available on Funimation and Crunchyroll, for a long time. In the United States, it seems likely that Netflix will share the anime series with peer Hulu. .

What’s available on Hulu will likely be the version available on Netflix too which is a subtitled version of the show.
