Majority Team Of Anchors For Tokyo Paralympics To Be Disabled, Guarantees Channel 4

More than 70% of Channel 4’s team of presenters and anchors at the Paralympic games in Tokyo will be disabled, the broadcaster has announced officially.

The global and grand event is all set to be held in Tokyo during the month of August and September. It will see the appearance of well-known TV presenter and former professional basketball player Ade Adepitan.

He will also be accompanied by a disability advocate, Sophie Morgan, the ex-rugby player Ed Jackson, and also JJ Chalmers.

Creating History

The broadcaster Channel 4 has said that it is going to be the largest number of people with a disability presenting a grand show in the history of British television.

The director of the program, Ian Katz has commented that Channel 4 has a long track record of engaging with the general public all over the world for the Paralympic Games. It aims to entirely change the perception of the public towards people with disabilities.

Presenters who are physically well and fit will also be the part of the show to cover stories in Japan, while Clare Balding is allotted the task to be there to report live from a studio in Leeds.

Steph McGovern, the head of the daily morning show in addition to the Paralympic cyclist and former Royal Marine Arthur Williams.

Elsewhere, Adam Hills, Alex Brooker and Josh will be seen hosting the Last Leg Day. The three will also be joined by comedian Rosie Jones, who has cerebral palsy. He will be reporting from Japan.

The Experts will also take part in the event, either as presenters or commentators including the 11-time Paralympic gold medallist Tanni Grey-Thompson.
