Downtown Abbey On Netflix
The show was co-written by Julian Fellowes and was shown between 2010 and 2015 and also saw a movie coming out in 2019 as well.
Now, the program is set to come to Netflix on June 1, 2021.
For long-time Netflix subscribers, you will recall that Downton Abbey had been a very early addition to Netflix with the series that last left in February 2013 and has not been seen since.
Masterpiece Classic
This only applies to Netflix in the United States but check out the UK, Canada and Australia regional lists as well to see if it goes down in most regions.
The series is expected to release episodes on Tuesday and will be called Masterpiece Classic: Downton Abbey.
Assuming it doesn’t leave other platforms, Downton Abbey will be shared along with many other broadcast platforms in the United States. They are Prime Video, Peacock, and Britbox that are having all the six seasons in HD.
2019 Downtown Abbey Movie
PBS Passport is also broadcasts the show until February 2023.
This does buck the recent trend of PBS titles leaving Netflix rather than being added. We’ve seen a big exodus of PBS’s children’s titles and documentaries in favor of PBS’s own streaming platforms whether that be the standalone platforms or the Prime Video Channel. How well PBS’s efforts into streaming are doing aren’t known.
If you are looking for the 2019 Downton Abbey movie, good news! It is currently streaming on HBO Max.
