Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Have Kept Things Calm Amid Divorce

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce is going smoothly according to a source. The reality star had filed for divorce from the rapper in February after seven years of marriage.

The pair are said to be continuing to prioritize the well-being of their four kids: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. According to the source, Kim and Kanye are getting along and they have both stayed true to their commitment to making the best situation for the kids. The insider further added, “Kim is very happy that they have managed to keep things calm. She thinks Kanye is a good dad.”

Sources further revealed that the Skims founder wants him to be able to spend as much time with the kids as he wants. The source adds that Kim seems happier ever since parting ways with Kanye. “For every week that goes by since she filed for divorce, Kim seems happier,” the source says now. “She knows that filing for divorce was the right decision. The kids are doing as good as she could hope.”

Kanye is requesting joint legal and physical custody of their children according to a legal response that was filed by his attorney. It was filed earlier this month. Kris Jenner had offered Kim some advice about parenting during a divorce. The momager shared the most important thing according to her is learning through experience.

She said, “I think the most important thing I learned through my experience, both of my experiences, is that the kids come first.” The matriarch shared the advice during a conversation with WSJ Magazine’s The One. Kris had gone through a similar experience with her late first husband, Robert Kardashian.

“Kanye loves his kids. He wants them to be happy.”

She also has experience of co-parenting with ex-Caitlynn Jenner. “If you keep that in the front of your mind and know that they are going to get you through, the love is going to get you through, you know, no matter how much you’re hurting,” Kris continued. “I used to put everybody to bed, and then I would be upset or go to my room and cry myself to sleep. But I didn’t want to have a pity party in front of the kids.”

Kim and her kids have continued to live in the Hidden Hills mansion which was bought together by the reality star and her estranged husband. A source revealed previously that the reality star plans on staying there. The insider also revealed both Kim and Kanye agree that the kids should have less stress.

“They both agree that the less stress the kids’ experience, the better. Kanye loves his kids. He wants them to be happy,” the source said. “He doesn’t want to fight with Kim about anything.”
