Marvel Confirms Chris Pratt’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Character Is Bisexual

Marvel has confirmed that the comic book powerhouse and the fan-favorite character played by Chris Pratt is bisexual. The new information about his character in the Guardians of the Galaxy as Star-Lord/Peter Quill from the Marvel comics has been revealed after two movies.

The actor has played Star-Lord in two installments of the Avengers franchise as well. Marvel’s character’s future was left uncertain after the end of the second installment of Guardians of the Galaxy. However, the comic series has been revived by Al Ewing.

For the latest strip of Guardians of the Galaxy#9: I Shall Make You a Star-Lord, the story dives into the loveable space cowboy’s sexuality. His character ends up in a polyamorous relationship with a man as well as a woman. The Marvel comics show the character declaring his dedication to the pair as they share a bath.

Chris’s character, Star-Lord, tells them:  “You’re my home… thanks for accepting me guys.” The characters then go into an embrace in the water. The comic book also revealed that the trio’s relationship will last more than 100 years.

Although it is not clear if the character’s sexuality is going to be included in the upcoming movie appearances. Chris is set to play the character in two more blockbusters of the superhero franchise.

The character is set to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, which is scheduled for release on May 6, 2022, and in the third Guardians Of the Galaxy film. The movie’s third installment is said to hit theaters in 2023.

Disney Announces 20 New Marvel Projects

The first movie, Guardians of the Galaxy featured Chris Pratt along with Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper. It was released back in 2014 collecting a total of $772.8 million worldwide. The movie became the highest-grossing superhero film of the year.

Disney has announced their plans to ramp up its production of Marvel and Star Wars series on its streaming service, Disney+. On the recent Disney Investor Day live stream presentation; Chairman, Kareem Daniel, Media and Entertainment Distribution for The Walt Disney Company; said that the company is planning to launch “roughly” 10 Marvel series; 10 Star Wars series, 15 live-action, animation and Pixar series over the next few years.

Marvel Entertainment and Star Wars both announced their several projects on their social media handle. Marvel announced the new feature film for Marvel’s First Family, Fantastic Four.

They further announced Quantumania which will be the third Ant-Man film. And it will obviously include Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Michelle Pfeiffer. However, they announced, Kathryn Newton will be joining the cast as Cassie Lang and Jonathan Majors will be seen as Kang the Conqueror.

Marvel Announces New Projects

They also confirmed that Christian Bale will join the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder as the villain Gorr the God Butcher. Marvel further announced a series of shorts that will feature everyone’s favorite little tree, Baby Groot. I Am Groot will be an original series from Marvel Studios and will also feature several new and unusual characters.

Marvel further announced, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday SpecialArmor Wars, which will be about Tony Stark’s worst fear coming true. They further announced IronHeart, an original series about the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man. The studios also announced, Secret Invasion, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Hawkeye. They also announced the sequel to Captain Marvel which will have Brie Larson reprising her role as Carol Danvers.
