Vanessa Morgan, who plays Riverdale, affirms that the show’s other world will continue to have an impact in the future. Riverdale season 6 premiered on The CW on November 16 and kicked off a five-episode event dubbed “Rivervale.”

Viewers are introduced to a town that is similar to Riverdale save for a few crucial deviations, according to the narration of Cole Sprouse’s Jughead Jones, who is channeling Rod Serling of The Twilight Zone.

And, by the end of the first episode, those distinctions are highlighted when Archie (KJ Apa), the main character, is murdered off in a sequence that is eerily similar to Midsommar.

an impact on the future

Toni Topaz (Morgan) accidentally kills Darla Dickinson’s son (Azura Skye) during a gang brawl in the second half of “Rivervale,” making things even stranger. The legend of La Llorona, who drowned her children in vengeance, is brought to light by this schism.

Toni holds a séance to talk with the spirit and uncover the truth about what happened, fearing revenge from Darla and desperate to protect her baby Anthony. This backfires, as the spirit kidnaps the baby and murders it. Toni, on the other hand, offers to sacrifice herself in the end. She takes on the role of La Llorona and asks Betty (Lili Reinhart) to care for the baby she’s left behind.

Morgan revealed what’s actually going on in Riverdale season 6 in an interview with Us Weekly. The actress confirmed that Rivervale’s other reality, with all of its horrific aspects, will continue to affect teen drama in the future. Morgan teased that at the conclusion of the season, fans will have a better understanding of how everything fits together.

The following is a statement by Morgan.

“If you believe [in other dimensions] then there’s alternate realities all going on at the same time, different versions, different outcomes, all playing out at your life at the same time. I believe in that, and I feel like we’re kind of touching on that. And then I think toward the end of the season, it’ll all come together and you’ll really realize how it all relates.”

Morgan’s words ring true those of showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who guaranteed that Archie will not be the only Riverdale character to die in interviews.
