Emma Stone Hints At Wanting To Grow Her Family
Emma Stone has hinted about wanting to have a family of her own. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she was promoting her animated movie, The Croods: A New Age.
The actress voices a member of the prehistoric Crood family and revealed how she feels pretty good about starting her own “pack”. She voices the character of Eep in the movie. The Oscar-winning actress shared that her family might act differently than the characters in Crood.
Emma said, “I don’t think that my pack would be quite as physically capable as the Croods are.” She further described the characters as “rough and tumble” and said that her pack would not be as rough and tumble as them.
The actress recently tied the knot with comedian Dave McCary secretly after announcing their engagement last December. Their nuptials were only revealed two weeks after Emma was spotted wearing matching bands with Dave. The actress was out on a walk with her now-husband in Los Angeles.
The couple had to postpone their wedding in March because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The announcement of their engagement was done by an Instagram photo by Dave back in December 2019. Both Dave and Emma were smiling away as Dave held up Emma’s engagement ring.
Dave and Emma had met when the actress was hosting Saturday Night Live back in 2016 and have been together ever since. A source had revealed last December that Emma is professional in every way and she is talented, focused on her work. Dave respects that and supports her, according to the source.
The insider added, “He totally supports her, and is unselfish in his desire for her success. Those are great qualities in a man for someone like Emma. She is impressed by his talent and respects him immensely.”
“Dave And Emma Share The Same Sense Of Adventure”
Neither Stone nor Dave has publicly discussed their nuptials, but rumors emerged after they were spotted wearing matching rings while on a walk together in Los Angeles on Sept. 11.
The actress had also previously sparked marriage speculation, earlier this year in May. This was when she participated in a video interview with Reese Witherspoon. Fans were quick to notice the actress wearing a gold band on that finger.
This marks the first marriage for both Stone and McCary who were first romantically linked in 2017. The couple met when Stone hosted SNL at the end of 2016 and collaborated on a taped sketch titled “Wells for Boys”. The comedian directed the sketch; in which Stone plays a mom who’s baffled by her young son’s affinity for wells for “sensitive boys” where they can whisper their feelings and secrets.
Then at the 2019 SAG Awards, last January, the couple made their first public appearance together. At the time, a Source revealed, “Dave is a super down-to-earth guy. Most of his best friends are people he’s known since he was a kid, and he’s not affected by Hollywood,” the source continued. “He’s very creative and funny, and he and Emma share the same sense of adventure.”
The Croods: A New Age will be released on Nov. 25.
