Trailer for Riverdale Season 6 Sabrina Crossover & Possible Pregnancy
The Riverdale season 6 trailer teases Sabrina’s debut as well as a possible pregnancy plotline. After the first four episodes (which were initially part of season 4 before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down production on the series), the show leaped forward five years to portray what happened to Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, and Jughead Jones in Riverdale season 5.
Season 5 closed with the revelation that Cheryl Blossom’s forefathers were burned at the stake, casting a curse on Riverdale residents.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a spin-off series of Riverdale that was originally set up at The CW before being created by Netflix, first hinted at the Blossom family’s witchcraft lineage. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina aired on Netflix for four seasons from October 2018 to December 2020. Now that the witch subplot has gotten a lot of attention, Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has confirmed that Sabrina Spellman will return in season 6, with Kiernan Shipka returning her role.
Given that Sabrina Spellman died at the end of her series, viewers will be interested to see how the teenage witch was able to return and whether this takes place after or before the series’ final episode.
The official trailer for Riverdale season 6 has been out, and it features the first glimpse at Shipka’s Sabrina when she sees Cheryl Blossom. It also hints at the continuation of Archie and Betty’s romance subplot, with the two appearing to contemplate having a baby. The teaser concludes with the title of the five-episode event, Rivervale, which will air on November 16, 2021.

The appearance of Sabrina Spellman in the upcoming season of Riverdale is part of a bigger pattern at The CW, with many of their shows returning before the end of the year.
Legends of Tomorrow is bringing back prior Legends such as Captain Cold, Hawkman, and Firestorm, while The Flash’s upcoming season will kick off with a five-episode tale that brings together characters like Black Lightning, Batwoman, and The Atom in a crossover event. The five-episode events for The Flash and Riverdale will both launch on the same night and air on Tuesday nights on The CW for the next few weeks.
