Spanish Thriller Lies And Deceit To Release On Netflix In November 2021

After having a successful run on the premium Spanish SVOD service, Lies and Deceit is now going to land on Netflix around the world.

The series is called ‘Mentiras’ on the Spanish SVOD service. However, it will not be the name used when it comes to Netflix.

Lies and Deceit is the remake of British show titled ‘Liars’ and is based on the book of Harry and Jack Williams. For the people who aren’t book worms, the series is the best way to know what the book talks about.

Curro Novallas is the writer and director of the mystery series. He has also worked on Netflix’s High Seas and currently serves as the executive producer of Los Protegidos: El regreso.

Cast Members And Storyline

The key cast member of the series is Angela Cremonte who is portraying the role of Laura Munar.

The story revolves around Laura who one day wakes up to the realization that she had been drugged and sexually harassed by a surgeon. The part of the surgeon is being played by Javier Rey in the series.

Other cast members of Lies and Deceit include Manuela Velasco, Paco Tous, Clara Segura, Miquel Fernandez, and Eva Llorach.

Reviews And Release Date

Talking about the reviews of the show, it has got a 6.9 rating on IMDd out of a 10 score.

Entertainment column Bluper in a Spanish tabloid has appreciated the cinematography of the series.

The release date of Lies and Deceit has been officially confirmed by Netflix. All the six episodes of the series will go live on the platform on November 15, 2021.
