Dwayne Johnson Says Black Adam Can Defeat Superman
Dwayne Johnson discusses why Black Adam is capable of fighting Superman. Of DC FanDome 2021, the first proper look at Black Adam was revealed, reigniting speculation about the character’s possible one-on-one with Clark Kent.
Because the two have comparable power sets and are both parts of the DCEU, it’s not impossible for them to cross paths. Many people are wondering who will be victorious when that day comes. Black Adam has been in development for a long time and had been locked in production limbo for years.
Johnson was adamant about playing the character because it’s his passion project. As a result, he worked tirelessly to get the film off the ground, and filming began earlier this year, with Jaume Collet-Serra directing.
Aside from the titular superhero, the Justice Society of America, consisting of Hawkman (Aldis Hodge); Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Atom Smasher (Quintessa Swindell), will make their debut (Noah Centineo). Johnson was able to show a sample of the movie at DC FanDome 2021 after the main photography was over.
Black Adam can only be killed by Superman, according to a fan on Twitter. Dwayne responded as he acknowledged the Man of Steel’s greatest weakness is not kryptonite. But he added that it is magic and Black Adam’s superpower is magic. He admitted that both are unstoppable forces, but unlike Superman, Black Adam will have no qualms about killing.
This isn’t the first time Johnson has spoken out on the subject. He explained the differences between Black Adam and Superman back in July. It’s no secret that his anti-hero is frequently compared to the Last Son of Krypton in terms of darkness and moral ambiguity.
As a result, comparing them makes logical. He said something similar, but he also highlighted that Superman has a code that he follows; which prohibits him from killing. This is the reason why the demise of General Zod (Michael Shannon) in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel remains to be a controversial topic of discussion. Meanwhile, Black Adam would have no problems outright murdering villains.
With Black Adam‘s forthcoming appearance in the DCEU, there’s a chance that Warner Bros. will bring this potential fight to life on the big screen. But first, the studio must decide on Superman’s fate in the franchise. Henry Cavill’s superhero has no other confirmed appearances after Zack Snyder’s Justice League, with Man of Steel 2 still unconfirmed. Even after DC FanDome 2021, which outlines the franchise’s next few years, there hasn’t been any progress on this issue.
