
83, starring Ranveer Singh, is scheduled for a Christmas 2021 release
The sports drama 83, directed by Kabir Khan and starring Ranveer Singh, is about to hit the big screen. On Sunday, the actor turned to social media to announce the film’s release date as well as share an adorable team photo. Ranveer Singh and his team are now fully prepared to come in 2021 for Christmas.
Yes, you read that correctly. On December 25, the sports drama that will bring the Indian cricket team’s journey to the 1983 World Cup to the big screen will be released. Ranveer Singh, who plays Kapil Dev, has released a team selfie in which he appears to be in his element. Others who surround Ranveer include Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sahil Khattar, Saqib Saleem, and others.
“It’s time..83 IN CINEMAS THIS CHRISTMAS. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. #ThisIs83,” Ranveer captioned the team photo.

Ranveer’s news was welcomed with excitement, with admirers wishing him success in the comments section. “Yayyyy finally.” said Huma Qureshi, who Sahil Khattar, Ranveer’s co-star and actor, wrote, “What a wonderful Christmas gift. Santa Claus is real.”
Kabir Khan was also pleased to finally reveal the film’s release dates. He penned, “The team that engulfed the entire world! THIS CHRISTMAS, SEE TEAM 83’S Glorious Victory IN THE CINEMAS. #ThisIs83 will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.”
Ranveer Singh’s first major release in nearly two years will be the sports drama. He will appear in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, which is set to be released on Diwali this year. Ranveer Singh’s second film, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, will be released on February 25, 2022, following the success of 83.
